Located in the heart of historic downtown North Bend, this newly remodeled bakery has been in business for 90 years.  Formerly known as Georgia’s Bakery (and previously George’s), our name now reflects the amazing community that has supported us for almost a century.  We pride ourselves on our continued dedication to baking time honored sweet and savory treats, while providing a warm and inviting family atmosphere to relax and enjoy.  

Whether you’re a local North Bender or a visitor of our stunning scenery, we invite you to stop by to try our mouthwatering pastries and baked goods, tasty soups and sandwiches, and “pick-me-up” coffee and espresso drinks.  The perfect treat before strolling around town or hitting the nearby trails and slopes.

OUR HISTORY

Originally built as a bakery owned by Carl Bellinger, 127 W. North Bend Way has remarkably remained a bakery and famous North Bend “must stop spot” throughout the years.

After a series of face lifts, the Bakery was awarded a Landmarks Capital grant  in 2014 to restore the original facade of the 1928 building. The process involved the removal of an alpine facade — a distinct feature that was installed by many North Bend businesses in the 1970’s to give downtown a Bavarian feel.  

Once the Alpine facade was removed, another historic George’s Bakery facade was revealed, complete with an old business sign, George’s Butter Crust Bakery. The removal of the next layer revealed the building’s original facade, including a large, beautiful bank of windows.

During the remodel all of the exterior brick was replaced and a new top brick facade was added to match the adjacent buildings, both of which were originally constructed on North Bend Way in the 1940’s. 

The old dropped ceilings were then removed, high ceilings and fresh paint were added, and now natural light floods in from the beautiful new windows uncovered on the building’s front — also allowing for stunning views of nearby Mt. Si.
